Another great read by Dustin Stevens! I don't know how he does it! Every one of his books are fantastic! Okay, a quick synopsis hopefully, I won't put any real spoilers in。。。Ham is amazing, OMG, we all secretly want to be her。 Mikey is Mikey and don't forget about Glenda, yes, some very interesting twists and turns in this one。 I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I did。 Another great read by Dustin Stevens! Wow, this book was unbelievable。 Where there’s Billie and Reed, you know there’s going to be action and suspense。 What is the family up to, trouble for sure and revenge。 Glad Billie and Reed are back。

Great readThis entire series is great and one of the best I've read。 Good, completely original plots and lots of interesting supporting characters。 Fast paced。 Nothing but positive comments。 Can't wait to read the next one。 Great readThis entire series is great and one of the best I've read。 Good, completely original plots and lots of interesting supporting characters。 Fast paced。 Nothing but positive comments。 Can't wait to read the next one。 。。。more

I love Billie and of course Reed。 I say every book about them it is my favorite。 So now The Family is my fav。 Some great and witty comments from a great read - Prison: "The perfect greenhouse, allowing a budding sociopath to bloom。" "Hardly the sorts of plots that bestselling novels and Emmy-winning television were based on, though he had seen more done for less。" Made me chuckle out loud。"Sloppy, erratic vigilantism。。。" So read to find out why! What do you get when you have an over zealous, religious Mom, and 3 siblings that are out for revenge。  You get one of the most intense, and heart stopping Reed and Billie adventure that Dustin Stevens has ever written。  This adventure has Reed and Billie rushing to stop cruel, lasting, debilitating acts on individuals that just happened to be on the fringes of a 7 year old incident。  Stevens spins the adventure that grips you in a way that makes it hard to out down。   This is the 11th Reed and What do you get when you have an over zealous, religious Mom, and 3 siblings that are out for revenge。  You get one of the most intense, and heart stopping Reed and Billie adventure that Dustin Stevens has ever written。  This adventure has Reed and Billie rushing to stop cruel, lasting, debilitating acts on individuals that just happened to be on the fringes of a 7 year old incident。  Stevens spins the adventure that grips you in a way that makes it hard to out down。   This is the 11th Reed and Billie adventure,  and I found it one of the best。  。。。more

A great series ,and once again Reed and。 Billie are called in, and not what’s he expected。 Tattoo’s gave them the picture of what had happened, no more words were needed。 Seven sins and secrets would be unfolded for them to solve。Gripping ,plot that readers will enjoy。 Given ARC for my voluntary review

The Family is the 11th book in the Reed and Billie series。 Author Dustin Stevens has a gift for freshness and impact that readers embrace in every new adventure。 His settings are in the here and now and relatable with all of our gadgets, devices, and social media。 I hope he is as eager to do Book 12 as fans are eager to read it。 Stevens again delivers richly developed characters and one of his most complex plots to date - and he does not shy away from a deep exploration of evil。 Billie, Reed’s B The Family is the 11th book in the Reed and Billie series。 Author Dustin Stevens has a gift for freshness and impact that readers embrace in every new adventure。 His settings are in the here and now and relatable with all of our gadgets, devices, and social media。 I hope he is as eager to do Book 12 as fans are eager to read it。 Stevens again delivers richly developed characters and one of his most complex plots to date - and he does not shy away from a deep exploration of evil。 Billie, Reed’s Belgian Malinois K-9 partner, offers readers a companion storyline with the portrayal of the relationship between K-9 and handler。 Readers will appreciate the extra dimension Billie brings to the investigative narrative of The Family, undeterred by bias or jumping to conclusions - the scent says it is or it isn’t。Reed and Billie’s adventure launches with an urgent call from the Governor to drop everything and get to the Capital - a wealthy donor and political ally has been assaulted, sadistically。 Immediate and thorough action is required。 The Family, as the title hints, deals with relationships - wealth and power, poverty and invisibility, bully and victim, justice and indifference, family and faith - all the good, the bad, and the ugly。 The family of The Artist, The Tall Boy, and Angel are tight knit, though woefully misguided, siblings。 Tormented by a past injustice that pushed tragedy into their lives, they are on a mission of revenge that is both devious and ghastly。 The system ignored them because they were ‘the wrong side of the tracks’ class。 However, Billie doesn’t care what side of the tracks you live on - you will leave a scent and she will find you。The Family is a tight multidimensional tale。 Readers will arrive at the last sentence and turn off their e-reader, but they will not finish with The Family for some time after。 。。。more

Great book, I give it 5 stars!!Reed and Billie are summoned to the governor’s mansion and so begins a race against time to solve one of the most horrible cases yet。 The seven deadly sins, one victim for each sin and time is running out。 One of his best books yet and it will keep you turning the pages on the edge of your seat。 There is non stop action from two of my all time favorite characters。 This novel will read well as a standalone, but you will read all of them。

A new Reed and Billie thriller is a gift。 It’s been a little while—but so worth the wait。 The Family is the best R&B novel in recent memory—possibly the best one yet。 Combining all the elements we love most about the dogged detective and his K9 partner—heinous, serial crimes with seemingly unsolvable investigation; driving, nearly real-time pace; damaged but unrelenting heroic investigator; familiar cast of vital, supporting characters; deep, almost spiritual connection between man and dog; and A new Reed and Billie thriller is a gift。 It’s been a little while—but so worth the wait。 The Family is the best R&B novel in recent memory—possibly the best one yet。 Combining all the elements we love most about the dogged detective and his K9 partner—heinous, serial crimes with seemingly unsolvable investigation; driving, nearly real-time pace; damaged but unrelenting heroic investigator; familiar cast of vital, supporting characters; deep, almost spiritual connection between man and dog; and through it all, an underlying current of heart and humanity that grabs you somewhere deep and vests you profoundly within the story and outcome。We find Reed and Billie working back into shape after the conclusion of the case resolved in the previous book。 Unceremoniously summoned to the governor’s mansion, flaring Reed’s ever-rising acrimony with his and Billie’s new-ish position as liaison between the police department and the State Bureau of Criminal Investigation seemingly once again being abused as the personal lap-dogs (no offense, Billie) of the occupant of their destination, they arrive to find not only a legitimate case, but a particularly disturbing and perplexing one。A prominent businessman and friend of the governor (read: mega-donor), has been attacked, rendered unconscious, and had the word PRIDE tattooed across the whole of his forehead。 He has no idea of the perpetrator, no understanding of the meaning, no idea of any motivation—and there are zero forensics。Reed and Billie have nothing to go on。 And if that weren’t perplexing enough, the following day, a second victim is discovered under eerily similar circumstances, hundreds of miles away, GREED emblazoned across his forehead。 The pattern is obvious, but again without any clues and with no connection between victims, Reed and Billie face the most difficult challenge of their career: with five more targets clearly on the to-do list, track down this perpetrator before he strikes again。 And again。 And again…The reader knows more about the perpetrator than Reed and Billie but not the motivation behind the crimes, and therefore cannot see how R&B will ever be able to solve this crime spree before the Seven Deadly Sins are completed and the perp vanishes forever。It’s a race against time to solve this conundrum, requiring all of Reed’s fortitude, tenacity, investigative experience and intuition, as well as Billie’s nose, ferociousness, and their empathetic connection to pull this one out。The Family may simply be the best of the great Reed and Billie novels yet。 Not only do they face the toughest investigative challenge of their career, but the nature of the crime is so heinous, so sinister, it’s an affront to humanity itself。 Under ever intensifying time pressure, Reed and Billie must call upon every bit of knowledge, skill, and instinct they possess to relentlessly pursue this case to its conclusion。New to Reed and Billie, or an R&B completest, The Family is a must-read。 。。。more

Wow! Reed and Billie tackle one of the most original crimes in all of crime fiction。Reed and Billie have been recently assigned as special investigator for the Governor of Ohio。 Because of his position, he is now a go-between between the Cincinnati Police Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation。But the Governor Cowan calls the two detectives into his mansion, points to his friend, Dean Morgan, who now has a tattoo of the word PRIDE across his forehead, and then tells Reed that D Wow! Tense Vigilante JusticeWhat a riveting book! I did not want to put it down。 It is a tense story of vigilante justice。 I could not have guessed the final turn of events if I had tried。 The finale was something else and all of the loose ends were tied up。 A great addition to a fine series。

The Family brings thought of warm and fuzzy, right, but remember this is a Dustin Stevens novel, so not so much。 Reed and Billie on the track of a series of strange crimes that seem unrelated and odd in the extreme。 It all comes to a crescendo at the end that will keep you on the edge of your seat。

I was fortunate to be able to read this book as a part of the ARC and found it to be quite entertaining。 Reed and Billie work as pair to solve cases and this case is a real doozy stemming back for 7 years。 They seem to be one step behind and then the case broke wide open with a startling revelation。 Wow! A good one。

Reed and Billie are off on another case for the governor。 A face tattoo begins a chain of events that leaves Reed and his local LEO’s always one step behind as they try to put the pieces together。 As this case moves faster and faster, Reed and Billie are running on reserves as rest is out of the question。 With non stop action, intrigue and mystery you will loose some sleep with ibis one。

Having read each of the Reed and Billie books so far, this one's premise was quite different, yet the theme of revenge was apparent from the start。 The uniqueness not only made it enjoyable to anticipate how things would ultimately come together, but also refreshing due to a much lower body count than some of the earlier books in the series!
